Getting to know Keely

About Me

I’m a sunset chaser, in love with the ocean, kdrama fanatic and firm believer that warm fairy lights can literally make everything better (especially when I’m curled up in bed during a flare). I’m also all about the soft life… even when chronic illness is doing everything it can to make life feel the opposite. ✨

My Fav Mantra

Fun Fact

Fun fact: One of my Grandmas was from Malta and moved over by boat to Australia with her whole family. So I've taught myself how to speak a lil Maltese...Inħobbok ħafna Spicey (meaning: I love you a lot Spicey ❤️‍🔥)

Keely's Story

""My journey with chronic pain started at 13 when I first got my period. After years of debilitating + severe pain, heavy + prolonged bleeding and many other symptoms-I felt stuck. Most doctors would tell me my symptoms were “normal” and point me to another random condition, but I just couldn't accept it. When I was 17, a friend came over and told me about her diagnosis (via surgery) of endometriosis and I had never felt more seen. I researched heavily and it just made sense. My doctor didn't believe me, so I had to advocate hard to get them to agree to the diagnostic surgery (currently the only diagnosis tool for endo!). Fast forward to my own surgery, I finally got my endometriosis diagnosis!
Since then, I’ve also had 2 more surgeries to remove endo tissue and have been diagnosed with adenomyosis, PMDD, and navigating some pretty painful + invasive treatment options. So chronic pain is a big part of my life. Fun! But through it all, I’ve learned how important it is to advocate for yourself, speak up, and look for alternatives to manage daily life with debilitating pain. So I started sharing my story online, not just to rant (though I do love a cheeky vent sesh), but to remind others that they’re not alone or too young, and that their pain is real!"

Q&A with Keely

Why I Partnered With Spicey

"I’m a Spicey Partner and honestly? I couldn’t be more excited (and toasty warm hehe).Bringing a natural pain relief option to this incredible endo/adeno community means everything! I spent so many years trialing so many management tools that didn't always work, but there's nothing like giving someone a natural alternative to manage their pain--without all the nasty side effects! Empowering my community means reminding them that their pain is real—and you don’t have to tough it out in silence. Sometimes the best medicine is warmth, comfort, and knowing there's someone out here is going through it also!"

What's in my medicine bag?

"My medicine bag is a cute little survival kit. It’s got my Spicey heat patches (obviously), a cute pill case, snacks I probably won’t share, Lucas PawPaw lip balm (holy grail), a giant claw clip to tame my curls (and overstimulation), spare undies and pads (because life), and my go-to read--'You Are Never Alone' by Joseph Swan (I’m biased, but it’s actually amazing). I think I’m just missing a mini blanket and emotional support water bottle."

Advice for People in Pain

"To anyone out there in pain: you’re not too much, you’re not imagining it, and you definitely deserve comfort that actually works. I'm so sorry you're in pain--it sucks. Your pain is seen and valid and you are not alone love. But don't underestimate the power of a heat patch and having a really good cry to your fave playlist. Spicey’s helped me get through a bad pain day when I had to get out and about. It’s gentle but strong (like you), and it lets me keep showing up--for work, for family/friends, and for myself. If you're tired of being stuck in bed or overmedicated, try a little bit of warmth. It’s simple, but powerful. "

Why I Love Spicey

Why I Love Spicey Heat Patches for Endo & Chronic Pain Days:

  • No More Being Tied to the Wall: I used to live attached to my plug-in heating pad like it was life support--but dragging cords across the house (or worse, giving up on getting a glass of water because it meant leaving the heat... Not ideal. Spicey gives me the freedom with 8-12 hours of cozy warmth I can actually walk around with.
  • Pain Relief on the Move: Whether I’m running errands, stuck at work, or out at a concert wanting to keep my pain at bay, Spicey enables me to get out and enjoy life.
  • Flare Day Bestie: On those rough days where I’m in too much pain. You'll find me curled up in bed with snacks, watching K-dramas, with my Spicey heat patch. Highly recommend also pairing with bubble tea, Princess Diaries movie and a cozy blanket.
  • Discreet & Cute: They're thin enough to wear under clothes (even leggings!) and don’t make you feel like you’ve strapped a brick to your belly. Bonus: no weird smells, so no one knows you're lowkey dying inside.
  • Actually Stays On: These babies don’t budge, unlike others I've tried. I’ve done full grocery runs, aisle lunges, and even some light dancing LOL--and it's stayed right where it needs to.
  • No Weird Smells: Totally scent-free, so you can just focus on feeling better.
  • All-Natural Goodness: No meds, latex, or chemicals—just the natural stuff that works.
